Reduce split domes
with
uniformed and controlled clamping pressure.
Huge air chamber behind the piston means
fewer split domes.
Most bodymakers cycle too fast to ever
benefit from an outboard surge tank. Air
can not pass into the airline and down
to a surge tank fast enough to prevent
compression of the air behind the piston.
Earlier models of the Pride Bottom Former
already had the most consistent clamping
pressure in the industrybut higher
speeds and thinner can stock requires
even more uniform and controlled clamping
pressure to reduce (cracked) split domes.
Softer donut spring
absorbs the shock of
bodymaker overtravel.
As your bodymaker speeds up, the ram
linkage stretches and the ram grows with
heat at higher speeds. Prides soft
donut spring gently absorbs the added
overtravel, reducing the pinching that
causes split domes and the metal fatigue
that contributes to failure of bodymaker
ram linkage components. |
