It’s a simple rule of cause and effect: the more time between maintenance cycles, the longer your can-making equipment runs. Less downtime means you’re saving money. Simple as that.
Latest Design Cuts Downtime
Redesigned with advanced, low-maintenance features including a new piston / seal system, an industrial-strength clamp ring retainer, a ceramic cylinder sleeve, and a life-long spring, the Pride can-making domer can produce consistent domes for over a year before requiring routine maintenance, which saves you money as well.
Piston / Seal System
Using a hybrid piston in the bottom former keeps the bodymaker running longer, requiring less service less often, and extending the overall period between maintenance cycles.
High-Strength Clamp Ring Retainer
Our tool steel clamp ring retainer reduces breakage from off-center hits, reducing maintenance needs and extending the period between maintenance cycles.
Ceramic Cylinder Sleeve
The cylinder sleeve is made of compressed and hipped ceramic to achieve a 4 micro finish that reduces friction on the piston seal. Not porous and abrasive like the spray-on ceramics, the Pride sleeve requires minimal maintenance and will last indefinitely.
Long-Life Spring
Pride’s redesigned spring is longer with extra mass and requires less deflection per length – characteristics that extend spring life. The spring material is softer, and better absorbs the impact of the bodymaker’s ram linkage while reducing shock to the bodymaker.
